From today, 15 February, Truronian Coaches services are being operated as part Go South West, part of Go Ahead adding to its coach provision across the region.
Truro based Truronian join Exeter Based Dartline, who joined the Go South West family in 2022, meaning that services will continue to run as normal, with the same local teams, working out of the same depot in Truro, and the same focus on safe and reliable journeys.
The acquisition from First Group provides long-term stability and support for Truronian Coaches services across Cornwall and the wider South West.
What does this mean for customers?
For most customers, nothing changes today:
• Hire bookings continue to run as planned
• Truronian Coaches colleagues remain in place
• Operations continue from the Truro depot
• Existing bookings, contracts and services are unaffected
• Phone number will remain the same
• A new email address will be set up, but the current email will still work
• The coaches will be red coaches in either Truronian or Dartline branding
Behind the scenes, Dartline has been working closely with Truronian Coaches to ensure this transition is a smooth as possible
A commitment to Cornwall and the South West
The investment in Truronian and the Truro depot by the Go-Ahead Group is part of a wider investment across Cornwall.
Richard Stevens, Managing Director of Go South West, said:
“Our message to customers today is simple: bookings are running as normal and familiar faces are still delivering them.
We are pleased to welcome Truronian Coaches into the family and to provide a stable, long-term home for the business, its people and the customers who rely on these services every day.
We would like to thank customers for their continued support and looks forward to working with Truronian Coaches as operations move forward together.”
