We’ve just got back from one of the most memorable trips in recent Dartline history — a spectacular 10 day tour to Andorra with Just Go Holidays, and what a journey it was.
Our Dartline driver had the privilege of taking the wheel for Just Go Holidays on this European adventure, and from the moment the coach rolled off the ferry at Calais, it was clear this was going to be something very special indeed.
The route south through France was stunning in itself. Passing through the heart of the country via Bourges and Clermont-Ferrand, the landscape changed with every mile. But nothing quite prepared the group for the moment the coach crossed the Millau Viaduct — one of the tallest bridges in the world, sitting more than 300 metres above the Tarn valley below. A moment nobody on board will forget in a hurry.
Andorra itself was everything you’d hope for and more. With the help of two brilliant local guides, Eva and Gustav, the group explored some truly remarkable places — from the sacred Sanctuary Basilica of Our Lady of Meritxell, to the remote hilltop village of Os de Civis, the historic cathedral city of La Seu d’Urgell, and the charming border town of Puigcerdà. Each stop brought something new and unexpected.
The visit to Montserrat was a particular highlight. The ancient monastery, the legendary Black Madonna, and a ride on the Funicular railway to the very top of the mountain — with views stretching as far as the eye could see. Simply breathtaking.
And then there was Paris. The perfect way to end an extraordinary trip. Most of the group spent their free time on an open-top bus, soaking up two and a half hours of the finest city in the world at their own pace.
Ten days. Incredible scenery. Unforgettable experiences. And a very happy coachload of passengers.
